With more than 30 primary schools and 6 secondary colleges within easy commuting distance of all larger centres you can access education facilities with ease. There are also a number of private secondary colleges in Bairnsdale and Sale that are serviced by bus routes.
For those wanting to further their education, the East Gippsland Institute of TAFE offers a variety of tertiary and industry training options at their Bairnsdale campus. For further tertiary studies, RMIT offers some of its courses through TAFE, and Monash University Churchill campus offer an expanded range of courses either on site or by distance education.
Forestech in Lakes Entrance offers specialised courses to students keen on the timber or natural resource management industries – with value-adding and business incubators just a glimpse of what students engage in.
Numerous Adult Education and Shire Council auspiced training courses are regularly offered in most communities by a range of training organisations.
